Have you ever considered the impact your words have on your life?
Movies like The Secret tell us:
“Your thoughts become things”
“You are the one who calls the law of attraction into action, and you do it through your thoughts”
But have you stopped to consider the impact your words have on those around you? Specifically, children?
It is a well-known fact that wealth continues from generation to generation. Ever wondered why?
Wealthy parents discuss money freely, it is not a hidden or shameful topic. Investments, budgets, savings and wills are discussed with the same ease as the weather and “how was your day darling?”
This normalizes wealth in the minds of their children, they grow up understanding how money works, how to make it grow and importantly, how to protect it.
They don’t grapple with limiting beliefs such as
“Wealthy people are greedy”
“Money is evil”
“You have to work HARD for your money”
“Talking about money is taboo!”
Nope. They know how to be responsible and have a healthy attitude about money.
All that, just from discussions over dinner?
Yip, all that. AND more.
So tell me, what do YOU discuss over the dinner table with your family?
