What does it take to be a great Property Investor
WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BE A GREAT PROPERTY INVESTOR?
Looking for steps to follow to ensure greatness on your property journey? Here are eight characteristics you need to cultivate to become unstoppable:

Each week, we will focus on one of these skill sets so by the end of eight weeks, you'll have a rock solid action plan!
Week 1: EDUCATION:
Education gives us a knowledge of the world around us and changes it into something better. It helps us develop different perspectives of looking at life. It helps us build opinions and have points of view on things in life.
Interestingly, even though the benefits of education are universally agreed upon, people dive into new ventures without increasing their education first. I see this play out time and time again - especially when it comes to finance and investment. Finance is often a scary confusing place that people try to outsource or ignore. Unscrupulous people circle like vultures, watching closely, just waiting to pounce on anyone ready to let go of their hard earned cash, entrusting it to the "experts."
Same is true for property investing. There are plenty companies offering secure investment properties. You'll recognise this line:
"Just sign up here, pay into this account and we'll take care of ALL the rest!"
Here's the thing - no one - and I mean NO ONE, cares about your money as much as you do. You need to increase your financial education to ensure you are taking the best possible care of your hard earned cash. Manage your money wisely and you will get more money to manage. If you don't know the basics of your financial scorecard such as what the returns are on your investments, what your net worth is, how many assets you have - you are lying to yourself about wanting to be financially independent.
If you want to become a successful property investor, you have to learn how to understand and manage your money. Don't chase property investing without also chasing financial knowledge because you will only crash and burn baby burn!
Get yourself thinking new powerful thoughts about money and finance because your innermost dominant thought becomes your outermost tangible reality.
How do you do it?
Look for quality education programs. As most of you already know, I train for Legacy Education in South Africa which is linked to Rich Dad Education, Robert Kiyosaki's brand. There are plenty of other property training companies out there - do your research and find which one offers the kind of education you need.
Follow property blogs like this one (well done for being ahead of the curve!)
Follow people who teach money and investing. Some of my personal favs are Robert and Kim Kiyosaki, Ann Wilson, Tony Robbins, Clever Girl Finance. Find people who you resonate with and listen to what they have to say
